Camp Haan is a former prisoner of war/troop assembly area located next to March Air Reserve Base, and is part of the USACE Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) Program. Eco & Associates, Inc. conducted a preliminary assessment/site inspection for the 76-acre site. Eco personnel have been involved in the investigations at the Site since 2005.
In March 2007, Eco was selected by the USACE to continue working at Camp Haan, and we are conducting quarterly groundwater sampling.
Site "Y" at the former Camp Haan consists of a former landfill that contained an incinerator and waste and ash associated with the former landfill. Activities conducted at the Site have included the following:
